Sara Hegarty is a filmmaker, television editor & producer. She has worked extensively as a filmmaker and creative editor, both offline and online, long and short form. With an MFA in Film & TV Production from University of Southern California (USC) School of Cinematic Arts, she is a Member of Local 700, I.A.T.S.E., Motion Picture Editors Guild. Her early professional experience includes credited roles in post production on Hollywood films such as Fight Club, The Game and The Mummy. She is a British and American citizen.
Most recently, she produced and directed the music video for “Scapegoat” by Oscar-nominated musician ANOHNI, and worked as an editor on Series 8 of the prime time US series Bachelor In Paradise for Warner Brothers.
Prior to that, she worked for eight years at the BBC as a Producer, editing internally for both BBC domestic channels and BBC World, working on documentary, current affairs, archive programmes, and other factual content reaching millions of viewers around the world.
